The Benefits:

• JGL’s microbial programs clear perforations,
  remove skin damage, clear tubing, flowlines,
  and perform and maintain thorough well and
  near wellbore clean up.
• JGL’s microbial programs increase daily
  production averages, impact formation flow
  characteristics, initialize flow, mobilize
  heavy fractions, and increased oil production.
• JGL’s microbial programs increase flow
• The use of microbial organisms in this oil field
  proved to not only extend the parafin removal
  and pump maintenance cycle in the oil producing
  well, but also to improve oil production.
• In this project, the goal was to determine
  whether improved production brought by the
  use of the microbes is temporary or long term.
  

History:

• Before the application of microbes for the
  control of parafin in the oil-producing well,
  hot oil treatment was needed every month
  to remove parafin buildup in the tubing.
  
• Also, pump maintenance was required every
  two months.
  

Results:

• Since the first injection, oil production from
  well No. 333 increased from 58 barrels of oil
  per day to a steady 70 barrels of oil per day.
• Additionally, in the 17 months since injection
  started, no hot oil treatments or pump
  maintenance programs were performed
  on the well.
